Natural HPHT Technology
Diamonds exist underneath the earth and are made using carbon, are both an actually happening and fabricated grating. It is the hardest substance known to man. Natural diamonds develop at high pressure high temperature (HPHT) conditions in the earth’s mantle between 85 to 125 miles underneath. It takes about 1 to 3 billion years for a natural diamond to frame underneath the earth. Once shaped, a precious stone goes to the earth’s surface by means of floods of liquid rock. All through this procedure, natural diamonds procure considerations as well as blemishes inside them that give them their own particular interesting "unique finger impression".
The HPHT process is used to finish what nature started by applying 70,000 atmospheres and temperature up to 2500 Celcius, it would be the same atmospheric pressure and temperature that a diamond gets in the ground. Meeting these circumstances will bring a diamond to its fully “mature” state. Mature diamonds are defined as those that have D, E, F, G or H color grades. The HPHT process simply finishes what nature started. The HPHT diamond maturation process is permanent. Even though heat and pressure is applied to bring a natural, high clarity, top light brown (TLB) or top, top light brown (TTLB) to a white color grade, it is important to note that these diamonds are not synthetics and are 100% natural diamonds.
Extremely high pressure and extremely high temperature that causes the diamond to reform itself, adjust itself, and improve itself. Of all the diamonds mined from earth, a very small percentage is perfect in terms of clarity, colour and crystal structure. Reason for this is the non-uniform environment and impurities (mainly nitrogen). As a result the structure of most diamond crystals is distorted because of these defects, which gives them shades of brown colour. In HPHT process the diamond is given uniform and controlled high pressure and high temperatures which removes the defects and also reduces the brown colour by 3-4 shades and also completely removes it in some cases (type 2A diamonds) and turns them white (colourless). A type IIa diamond can be converted into Bright White colour while all other diamonds except type IIa can be converted to variety of colours like greenish, apple green, champagne, red, yellow, orange-yellow, pink and blue colours according to their diamond types.
